Problem Note 49892: Links in SAS® Digital Marketing broadcasts fail to resolve
Links fail to resolve when you preview SAS Digital Marketing broadcasts. This prevents the full testing that is expected to be available in the preview of broadcasts.
This problem occurs because the preview is using the redirect servlet rather than the get servlet to retrieve the links. Redirection of links should be disabled, and is by default, in order to avoid possible malicious changes to the destination website.
In SAS Digital Marketing 5.4 and 5.41, this issue occurs only if both of the advanced server properties, IndexedLinks and ResolveIndexLinkAtRuntime, are set to true. Setting ResolveIndexLinkAtRuntime to false allows the get servlet to be used to successfully return the destination website when you preview the broadcast.
In SAS Digital Marketing 6.1, the advanced server property IndexedLinks is no longer available. ResolveIndexLinkAtRuntime is still available, but the redirect servlet is called when you preview broadcasts, regardless of this being set to true or false. This prohibits link resolution and testing when you preview a broadcast.
