Problem Note 49743: Problems occur when you activate verbose logging on the e-mail server that is used by SAS® Digital Marketing to handle hard bounces
When you activate verbose logging on the e-mail server that is used by SAS Digital Marketing to handle hard-bounce replies, problems might occur. A prefix with a code that is similar to "RFC822" is added to the original e-mail address. For example, the hard bounce text might include the following:
The email address RFC822Jo.Smith@sas.com does not exist.
This amendment to the e-mail address causes the SAS Digital Marketing Reply Manager to fail to recognize the e-mail address. This results in the e-mail address not being passed to the SAS Digital Marketing replies table correctly, and correlation of the reply to a broadcast fails. Also, if opt-out thresholds are set, the e-mail address is not added to the opt-out table.
