Problem Note 49265: Entries for hard bounces in the SAS® Digital Marketing replies table might appear multiple times and other types of replies might be missing
The SAS Digital Marketing replies table holds entries for the different types of replies that are received in response to e-mails that have been broadcasted. For replies that are hard bounces (for example, a Failure Notice) you might see the hard bounce reply listed five consecutive times in the SAS Digital Marketing replies table. If this occurs, other replies that should be processed immediately preceding this entry might be missing from any category of reply in the replies table.
You might see this error in the SAS Digital Marketing wrapper.log file if you set the sem.reply.debug advanced server property to true:
SEVERE: Throwing SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "SDM"."SDM_REPLIES"."EMBEDDED".
(actual: 603, maximum: 255)
This issue is caused by the system incorrectly trying to use the entire text of the e-mail as input to the embedded column, when a correctly formatted e-mail address cannot be found within the text.
To work around this problem, extend the value of the replies table embedded column to a larger size.
