With Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2010, the recommended setting for authentication was form-based. In Microsoft SharePoint 2013, the recommended setting for authentication is claims-based.
When you use SAS Web Parts 5.1 within a claims-based environment, issues authenticating users to the SAS® Metadata Server occur when user access is configured using actual identity (default).
This issue does not occur when SAS Web Parts is configured to use a shared identity.
