Problem Note 49136: Margin calculations in category and calendar plans are calculated incorrectly when USE_BASED_COST_ACCT=0

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Margin calculations in category and calendar plans in SAS® Promotion Optimization are calculated incorrectly when USE_BASED_COST_ACCT=0. The USE_COST_BASED_ACCT global setting specifies if margins are calculated using the priced-based accounting model or the cost accounting model.

When USE_COST_BASED_ACCT=0 (price-based accounting), margins are calculated as margin (%) = (margin ($)) / (revenue($)).

When USE_COST_BASED_ACCT=1 (cost based accounting), margins are calculated as margin (%) = (margin ($)) / (cost of goods ($)).

When you specify USE_COST_BASED_ACCT=0, margins are incorrectly calculated as margin (%) = (margin ($)) / (cost of goods ($)).

There are no errors or warnings.

There is no workaround for this issue.
