The issue can occur when the PROC SQL view contains the following:

• An ORDER BY clause and an IN clause that contains a subquery
• The subquery references another view and the query contains DISTINCT
• The second view references a database management access system (DBMS) table

The only workaround is to create a table instead of a view and use the table in the subquery for the IN clause.
