Usage Note 49010: The Open Information Map dialog box might open slowly in SAS® Enterprise Guide® when many large information maps are stored in the same folder
In SAS Enterprise Guide, if you select to open a large information map that is stored in the same folder as many other large information maps, there might be a significant delay before the Open Information Map dialog box appears.
For example, the InfoMaps folder shown in the following display contains 50 information maps. Each information map contains about 500 data items. If you select to open one of the information maps in this folder, the Open Information Maps dialog box might take 30 or more seconds to appear.
As a workaround, create subfolders that each contain only a few information maps. For example, performance should improve if the 50 information maps are separated into five or more subfolders. In the following display, five subfolders have been created, each containing 10 information maps.
