Problem Note 49998: An incorrect Planned Quantity might be displayed in SAS® Pack Optimization

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

An incorrect Planned Quantity value might be displayed in the Planned Quantities view in SAS Pack Optimization. The problem occurs when all of the following conditions are true:

  • You are importing planned quantities at the Store Level.
  • For the same "import_id" in the PKOPT_PLANNED_QTY table, a product is associated with multiple locations.
  • In the import plan file, the "importid" tags are associated with a subset of the locations that are populated by the same "import_id" in the PKOPT_PLANNED_QTY table.

SAS Pack Optimization incorrectly sums the quantities for all the locations under the same "import_id" in the PKOPT_PLANNED_QTY table.

Note: After disaggregating, the correct quantity is displayed for disaggregated quantities. In other words, the incorrect quantity is a GUI display issue that does not affect the optimization results.

There are no errors or warnings that the displayed value is incorrect.

To work around this issue, use unique "import_id" values for stores in a location group.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
