Problem Note 49735: Connections to SAS® Workspace Servers behave unexpectedly

In a load-balanced cluster of SAS Workspace Servers, connections to the remaining SAS Workspace Servers behave unexpectedly when a server becomes unresponsive. The server can become unresponsive under various scenarios (for example, when a SAS object spawner fails).
In this situation, an uneven distribution of connections occurs. In addition, the remaining machines in the cluster are unable to run the maximum number of connections that should be possible given the load–balance settings that are in place.
In some cases, it is also possible that more connections than should be possible will run on one of the particular servers.
