Problem Note 49672: MIMain_PRF_Long STP jobs run longer than expected
When running the SizeProfilingActivityRun or SizeProfilingPublishUnpublish stored processes on the MIMain_PRF_Long stored process servers for SAS® Size Profiling, you might notice the jobs taking longer than expected to run. Upon inspection of the stored process logs, you might notice the P_SGM library is inefficiently allocated repetitively resulting in long run times. This has been observed when the str_grp_mbr folder of the data mart contains a very large number of files.
There is no workaround for this issue. However, in some environments adding a '-ENGINE V9' option to your SAS configuration file might improve the speed of the individual library allocations resulting in decreased job run time.
