Problem Note 49549: The Interactive Grouping node Gini values are 0 when Constrained Optimal Binning is used
The Interactive Grouping node in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ enables you to specify Constrained Optimal grouping methods for interval and for ordinal variables. However, the node might not find feasible groups when it should. The Gini statistic for some variables is incorrectly calculated as 0. The Calculated Role for the variable is set to Rejected, and Group is set to 1 for each observation. The problem has been observed only when there are more than 100 Input variables.
The node produces no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.
One possible workaround is to use fewer variables in the Interactive Grouping node. Try removing some of the variables based on content knowledge about your data, and run the node again.
