If your SAS^® 9.3 software order includes both SAS/ACCESS Interface to Microsoft SQL Server and SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum, you need to take special precautions when performing the configuration steps for these two products.

1. During the installation of this SAS software order via the SAS Deployment Wizard, pause when you reach the SAS/ACCESS configuration selection screen. (This is the screen with the check boxes displayed and preselected by default for each of the SAS/ACCESS software components included in your order.)
2. On this SAS/ACCESS configuration display, deselect (uncheck) either SAS/ACCESS Interface to Microsoft SQL Server or SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum.
3. On a subsequent screen, you are prompted with the following:
Specifiy Microsoft SQL Server ODBC Drivers Directory
Note: This message is displayed regardless of whether you selected to configure Greenplum or if you selected to configure MS SQL Server.
Specify an ODBC Drivers Directory that includes "Greenplum" in the path when configuring Greenplum or "MSSqlServer" if you selected to configure MS SQL Server instead.
4. Complete the remaining steps of the SAS Deployment Wizard installation.
5. Navigate to the !SASHOME/SASDeploymentManager/9.3 folder of your SAS installed image and launch the sasdm.sh.
6. Select to configure either the SAS/ACCESS to Greenplum or MS SQL Server product, whichever one you deselected above in Step 2.
7. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 above to configure this SAS/ACCESS product.

With both of these SAS/ACCESS products, you have the option of downloading the latest release of the Branded DataDirect driver provided by SAS. It is not necessary to have run through the above steps to download and configure the updated drivers. They can be found by clicking the Downloads tab.
