Problem Note 48885: An out-of-memory error message might occur when you run a Base SAS® procedure that supports in-database processing while accessing a Teradata table

An out-of-memory message might occur when you are running a Base SAS procedure against a Teradata table. The error occurs when all of the following conditions exist:

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
- The LIBNAME statement is using the META engine
- The LIBNAME statement contains the following options:
- READ_MODE_WAIT=NO
- READ_ISOLATION_LEVEL=ACCESS
- READ_LOCK_TYPE=VIEW
- And one of the following Base SAS procedures is being executed:
- FREQ
- RANK
- REPORT
- SORT
- SUMMARY/MEANS
- TABULATE
The error might look similar to the following:
ERROR: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of insufficient memory.
