Problem Note 48846: The SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager treatment count does not accurately reflect treatments that are selected for offer arbitration
SAS Real-Time Decision Manager enables you to track the total number of attempted contacts for a given treatment. However, when you use offer arbitration with limits on the number of treatments offered, this count does not accurately reflect what was sent to the channel.
The treatment count is recorded in the field CI_CELL_PACKAGE_TREATMENT_CNT.TOTAL_ATTEMPTED_CONTACT_CNT for each treatment within a treatment package that is sent to a channel. When you set a limit for the number of treatments, SAS® records the specific treatments that were sent in the ci_package_x_treatment table. The Common Data Model records this information by associating the package_hash_val for the contact history record to the corresponding TREATMENT_SK. For example, four treatments are available in the Reply node but only two treatments are associated with the contact history record. Only two TREATMENT_SKs are associated with the contact history package_hash_val. However, in the CI_CELL_PACKAGE_TREATMENT_CNT.TOTAL_ATTEMPTED_CONTACT_CNT column, all four treatments in the PACKAGE_SK are incorrectly incremented by 1.
There is no workaround for this issue.
