Problem Note 48843: Error may occur if a string is preceded by more than 255 blanks
When a macro is compiling, if the first token of a text string is preceded by more than 255 blanks and that token is also the first token of a text expression intended to yield a SAS identifier, the SAS Macro Facility erroneously causes a break in the text expression following the first token. This causes the text expression to no longer yield the intended result usually causing a parsing error in the generated source.
Possible work-around is to add %STR around the string.
