Problem Note 48403: "Missing Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 Component" error might occur when importing Microsoft Access ACCDB files into SAS® Enterprise Guide® 5.1
Beginning with 5.1, SAS Enterprise Guide is available in both a 32-bit and a 64-bit version. When you import Microsoft Access 2007 (or later) ACCDB files into SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1, you might get the following error:
This error occurs if you have the 64-bit version of SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1 and a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office. The 'bitness' of the two applications must match in order for you to import Microsoft Access ACCDB files. This problem does not occur for Microsoft Excel files.
