The following Write Access Violation might occur within a DATA step containing a hash table:

The cause of the problem is associated with an attempt to allocate more than 4 GB, and its occurrence is not necessarily limited to a hash table within a DATA step. The problem has occurred only on machines with 128 GB of memory or greater.
