Usage Note 48136: Sample stored processes might not render results in SASĀ® Web Report Studio
The sample stored processes that ship with the SAS® BI Server and SAS Enterprise BI Server are not designed to work with SAS Web Report Studio, which has specific requirements for displaying stored processes. For example, most of the samples are defined to use only streaming output, which is not supported in SAS Web Report Studio.
In some cases, you can modify the stored process definition in SAS® Management Console to select Package results instead of or in addition to Streaming. With Package results selected, the following stored processes should produce some output.
Testing was done using SAS Web Report Studio version 4.31_M2. Other versions of SAS Web Report Studio might behave differently.
Sample: Cholesterol by Sex and Age Group: This stored process renders output that is similar to what is displayed in the SAS® Stored Process Web application. With version 4.31_M2, the style prompt should work as expected.
Sample: European Demographic Data Properties: This stored process produces some output; however, the output is not interactive as it is when displayed in the SAS Stored Process Web application.
Sample: European Demographic Data Detail: This stored process renders the detail data used by the European Demographic Data Properties stored process. If you select Package results, a list table of population figures is displayed.
Sample: Frequency Analysis of Municipalities: This stored process renders output that is similar to what is displayed in the SAS Stored Process Web application. However, the prompts do not affect the output.
Sample: Shoe Sales by Region: This stored process renders output that is similar to what is displayed in the SAS Stored Process Web application. With version 4.31_M2, the style prompt should work for the graph.
The following stored processes do not work even with Package results selected.
- Sample: Hello World
- Sample: MEANS Procedure Web Service
- Sample: Multiple Output Formats
- Sample: Server Test
- Sample: Shoe Sales Graphics
- Sample: Year to Date Budget
For information about making stored processes available in SAS Web Report Studio, see the topic "Making Stored Processes Available to SAS Web Report Studio" in the SAS Intelligence Platform: Web Application Administration Guide for the version that you are running.
