Problem Note 48097: Warnings occur in the SAS® log when you use SAS® Retail Planning

When you use SAS® Retail Planning, you might receive the following warnings regarding variable lengths:
WARNING: Multiple lengths were specified for the BY variable variable name by input data sets. WARNING: Variable variable name has different lengths on BASE and DATA files.

The LIBNAME statement option USE_CHARACTER_COUNT= is added in this hot fix. The default value is NO. All values for this option are defined below:
use_character_count=yes force character count both directions use_character_count=no never force character count. use_character_count=read_only force character count on reading only use_character_count=write_only force character count on writing only
