Usage Note 48073: Suppressing error details in SAS® Web Report Studio
When errors occur in SAS Web Report Studio, you might see a Show Details link that can be used to display more information.
Beginning with release 4.3, you can use a property to suppress the details. The first step depends on your release.
- If you are using release 4.3 through 4.31_M2, then click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix that includes support for this property.
- Beginning with release 4.4, this property is available without a hot fix. Beginning with release 4.4_M5, error details are suppressed by default. To show the details, set the property to false.
Note: The property suppresses only the details available from the specific message shown previously. Beginning with release 4.4_M3, use this property in conjunction with the most recent hot fix in order to suppress additional messages, as explained in SAS Note 61904.
Follow these steps to suppress error details:
- In SAS Management Console, expand Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure.
- Right-click on Web Report Studio 4.x, and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- On the Advanced tab, click Add.
- In the Define New Property dialog box, complete these steps:
- For the Property Name, enter wrs.suppressErrorDetails
- For the Property Value, enter true
- Restart your web application server in order to enforce this change.
