Problem Note 48984: "Task Start Failed" error might occur when a project is scheduled to run in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
In SAS Enterprise Guide, the following error might occur when a scheduled project attempts to execute.
This error will most likely occur when using the Do not store password option in the Scheduler task, and also when the Log on as a batch job policy is not set. To make sure that the Log on as a batch job policy is set, follow these steps:
- From the Windows Control Panel, select Administrative Tools.
- Select Local Security Policy.
- Expand Local Policies.
- Select User Rights Assignment.
- Open the properties for the Log on as a batch job policy.
- Add your ID to the list of users.
