Usage Note 48937: Submitting IBM Platform LSF jobs with the bsub command causes the jobs to run indefinitely
When you submit Platform LSF jobs by using a bsub command, the job might run indefinitely and the associated sbatchd child process is never killed.
This problem occurs because IBM Platform LSF tries to mount your home directory automatically in order to create the ./lsbatch directory. However, the directory either does not exist or connecting users do not have permission to access it.
To correct the problem, add the following line to the lsf.conf file:
LSF_AM_OPTIONS=AMNEVER
For this change to take effect, submit the following command:
badmin hrestart
Once you make this change, IBM Platform LSF does not attempt to mount the home directory automatically. Instead, it uses the $HOME directory from the passwd file.
