PROC HADOOP and the FILENAME HADOOP access method are available within Foundation SAS®. To use them, you must use a supported Hadoop distribution and configure SAS_HADOOP_JAR_PATH as you would to support the SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Hadoop product.

Supported distributions are documented on the System Requirements tab of this SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Hadoop™ page of the SAS PRODUCTS & SOLUTIONS website.

The required configuration steps, including setting up SAS_HADOOP_JAR_PATH, are in the configuration guide for each operating system. See the SAS 9.3 Install Center Documentation website and select the link for your operating system.
