Problem Note 48751: Bulk-loading data from SAS® into Oracle fails and returns an "invalid username/password" error

The following error might occur when using SAS on a UNIX platform and bulk-loading data into Oracle:
SQL*Loader-128: unable to begin a session
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
The error occurs if the Oracle user's password provided in the LIBNAME statement contains a dollar sign ($). The problem occurs because the user ID/password string used to call the Oracle SQL*Loader utility is not within quotation marks.
To work around the problem, do not use dollar signs in the Oracle user password.
