Problem Note 48560: The list of members might be truncated when you export cell protection rules
In SAS® Financial Management release 5.3, you have the ability to define one
or more rules to protect data-entry tables. Once defined, these cell
protection rules can be exported to the StageFM library using the
fm_2300_export_cell_protection_rules job.
If you have defined a cell protection rule that includes a large number
of members in a dimension, the list of members that are exported to the
StageFM.app_dim_type_member_selector table might be truncated.
This issue occurs because the default length of a text field in SAS® is 1024 when
using the MySQL engine. This is documented in SAS Note
2473 "Reading character variables longer than 1024 using the SAS/ACCESS LIBNAME engine or PROC SQL Pass-Through."
Perform the following steps to correct this problem:
- Make a backup copy of the etlcprex.sas macro in the following location:
installation-drive:\Program Files\SASHOME\SASFoundation\9.3\finance\sasmacro
- Download the ZIP file that is available on the Downloads tab of this SAS note and unzip the etlcprex.sas macro to the same directory.
