Problem Note 48532: Data does not import correctly when you use the External File Wizard or the Table Properties window in SAS® Data Integration Studio
In SAS Data Integration Studio, there is a discrepancy in the column length depending on the method that is used to import table columns.
- When using the External File Wizard to import columns, the column length is set based on the BeginPosition and EndPosition metadata values that are specified in a format file.
- In the Table Properties window, if you delete the columns and reimport them using the same format file, then the column length is shifted one space.
As a result, the data is not read correctly.
