Problem Note 48441: The user interface stops responding indefinitely during a Creating Analysis Job task or a Creating Reporting Job task
In SAS® Risk Management for Banking and SAS® Risk Management for Insurance, the user interface (UI) can stop responding indefinitely when you attempt to create an analysis job in the Analysis Wizard or a reporting job in the Reporting Wizard.
The corresponding error in the web application log is similar to this:
ERROR [] com.sas.framework.services.config.dao.MetadataApplicationDAO - Unable to load
application information due to exception: RemoteException occurred in server
thread; nested exception is:
java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: X.X.X.X; nested
exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
The UI uses an AMF streaming channel to receive updates from the job queue. These updates are used to remove the Creating Analysis Job and Creating Reporting Job dialog boxes. They are also used to update the Analysis Tasks, Reports, and Job Queues workspaces as the jobs are executed. This streaming is only supported over HTTP 1.1 and might be affected by HTTP connectors, proxies, reverse proxies, or other network components that buffer the response stream. This can cause the UI to freeze.
