Problem Note 48157: Executing multiple communications concurrently in SAS® Marketing Automation using Oracle might cause deadlock errors
In SAS Marketing Automation, multiple communications can be executed concurrently. When the underlying database is Oracle, this might cause deadlock errors. The campaign fails to execute successfully. You might see errors such as the following in the MACore log file showing problems with the publish processing:
ERROR: ORACLE execute error: ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource.
ERROR: ROLLBACK issued due to errors for data set CICOMORA.CI_PACKAGE.DATA.
ERROR: ORACLE execute error: ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource.
Macro[MAPUBDEL]. Error while attempting to delete records . Check the log for details.,
MA Return Code: 885
Reducing the number of communications that are being executed concurrently might avoid this issue.
