Problem Note 47831: The SEVERITY procedure might return a write access violation error when closing

The SEVERITY procedure might abend with a Write access violation error if the procedure tries to access a freed memory location when exiting. In this case, PROC SEVERITY correctly produces all expected results, but simply abends upon termination. Although this problem was first observed when using PROC SEVERITY to analyze a data set with a formatted BY variable, the problem can occur in other cases as well when the procedure closes.

There is no circumvention for this problem.
