Problem Note 47776: A SAS® Marketing Automation export definition allows for SAS® Digital Marketing e-mail broadcasts but not SMS broadcasts
In SAS Marketing Automation, when you create a SAS Digital Marketing type export definition, you are required to enter an EMAIL column name. This is correct for e-mail broadcasts in which the column holds the e-mail address. However, this is incorrect for SMS broadcasts, in which this column holds telephone numbers.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, a column with the name SMS will be usable in the SAS Marketing Automation export definition. This SMS column will hold the phone numbers that will be used in the SAS Digital Marketing SMS message. Unfortunately, in order to use the SMS column within SAS Digital Marketing, an additional issue needs to be resolved. See SAS Note 47832 "The use of the SMS column in the SAS® Digital Marketing ASP recipient and phone number variables is not allowed," for more information.
