SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office 5.1 creates temporary directories inside the workspace server's SAS WORK library that are not deleted by the Disk Cleanup Handler. After execution of the utility, the orphan directories remain behind on the file system. There are no generated warning or error messages on part of the utility indicating failure to delete the directories.
The Disk Cleanup Handler utility is used by the SAS administrator to clean up orphaned SAS WORK directories left behind by SAS processes that terminate abnormally. Another known name for the Disk Cleanup Handler is the CLEANWORK utility.
To work around the problem, remove the orphan directories using operating system commands.
