Usage Note 47785: Secure FTP scripting with the SAS Hot Fix Analysis, Download and Deployment Tool (SASHFADD)
SASHFADD version 2.0.2 and later supports Secure FTP scripting with SFTP (UNIX systems) and PuTTY (Windows systems).
Information about installing and configuring these access methods is available in the SAS Technical Support technical paper Configuring SSH Client Software in UNIX and Windows Environments for Use with the SFTP Access Method in SAS® 9.2, SAS® 9.3, and SAS® 9.4.
If you are using PuTTY in Windows environments, confirm that the psftp.exe file was installed with PuTTY and that the directory where the psftp.exe file is located is also included in your system path.
For UNIX and Windows, you can activate Secure FTP scripting by editing the SASHFADD.cfg file and uncommenting the line:
-GENERATE_SECURE_FTP_SCRIPTING
Hot fixes and hot-fix data files are downloaded via scripts from the Secure FTP server sftp1.sas.com. When prompted, you must enter the password anonymous to connect to sftp1.sas.com. You are prompted for the password when SASHFADD is launched and prompted again when running the generated hot-fix download script.
