When you use the Find dialog box in the SAS^® Display Manager to search for text within the Program Editor window, the options Match whole word only and Match case might be ignored. This problem occurs only with the Program Editor, not the Enhanced Editor.

An example of the problem is shown below. Notice that when searching for the text "row," which is in lowercase letters, the search finds the uppercase letters "ROW". Notice also that although the Match whole word only option is selected, the word "row" is found within the word "BROWN".

To work around this issue, use the Enhanced Editor. Select View ► Enhanced Editor.

This issue will be addressed in a future release of SAS software.
