Problem Note 46952: Optimization fails with an "...item groups dataset is out of scope" error

In SAS® Regular Price Optimization, optimization might fail with an error similar to the following:
ERROR: Item id 5000056 in item groups dataset is out of scope.
The error is generated when the plan contains product relationship rules, and inactive products are not filtered out during rules instantiation. Specifically, the product relationship rules have the following characteristics :
- The product relationship rule contains a "less than or equal to operator" symbol.
- The product relationship rule is based on a product attribute.
- The product attribute name specifies the name of a product level in the standard hierarchy, and the list of attribute values specifies a list of product ID values.
There is no workaround for this issue.
