SAS Enterprise Guide and the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office cannot open SAS Web Report Studio reports that include a semicolon in the results. For example, if your results include a value such as Doe;John, then SAS Enterprise Guide presents the following message.
A table in the report could not be displayed
The SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office generates the following error:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index at System.Collections.ArrayList.get_Item(Int32 index) at SAS.Report.Data.DataSource.FormatValues(EmbeddedData data) at SAS.Report.Data.DataSource.LoadEmbeddedData() at SAS.Report.Viewer.Table.LayoutTable(IReportWriter reportWriter, IReportLayout reportLayout) at SAS.AMO.Reports.Table.LayoutTable() at SAS.OfficeAddin.ExcelReports.Table.LayoutTable() at SAS.AMO.Reports.Body.GetMaxTableColumns(Object document, Object renderInfo) at SAS.AMO.Reports.Section.GetMaxTableColumns(Object document, Object renderInfo) at SAS.AMO.Reports.View.GetMaxTableColumns(Object document, Object renderInfo) at SAS.OfficeAddin.ExcelAddin.OpenSASReport(JobContext context) at SAS.OfficeAddin.ExcelAddin.ProcessResults(JobContext context) at SAS.OfficeAddin.OfficeAddinBase.PostProcessJob(JobContext jobContext, Boolean promptOnErrors)
Currently, the only workaround is to remove the semicolon from the results.
