A new Libname statement option, LIBDEBUG, is available for SAS® libraries assigned with the META Libname Engine. The option reports to the SAS log the Libname statement which is generated behind the scenes when the META Libname Engine is used. This option can be useful in troubleshooting library assignment.
The following example demonstrates the use of the LIBDEBUG option and shows the LIBDEBUG data returned to the SAS log.

The LIBDEBUG option is only valid on a Libname statement using the META Libname Engine. Using the option on a Libname statement that does not use the META Libname engine produces the syntax error:
