Problem Note 46403: Properties set from the Manage Content window might be ignored in the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

After you run a Summary Statistics task in the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, task properties that you set from within the Manage Content window might be ignored the next time that you refresh the results.

Specifically, this problem can occur when you change properties in the following way:

  1. In the Manage Content window, you select the option Modify your items before refreshing, and then you refresh the results.
  2. When the task dialog box opens, you select Properties on the left side of the window, and then you click Edit.
  3. On the Data tab, you select the option Data Constraints and modify the Number of records to use to a new value.
  4. You click OK to run the task, and the task refreshes without problems.
  5. You follow similar steps, but you deselect the Data Constraints option so that the number of results is not restricted. However, this time, your property change is ignored when the task refreshes.

To circumvent this problem, use the SAS ribbon instead of the Manage Content window to access the properties for the task.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
