Problem Note 46122: SAS® Management Console Schedule Manager does not list your SAS® Marketing Automation metadata generation job in the list of jobs for new flows
SAS Marketing Automation enables you to schedule creation of your information map metadata by creating a job that you subsequently put into a SAS Schedule Manager flow. However, if you attempt to create such a flow in the SAS Management Console Schedule Manager plug-in, the metadata generation job is not listed among the available jobs.
This problem occurs because SAS Marketing Automation creates the information map metadata job without a value for the location field.
To create the information map metadata job for scheduling in the SAS Schedule Manager, follow the steps below:
- Log in to SAS Management Console as a CI administrator.
- Navigate to Application Management ► Customer Intelligence ► Administration resources ► Information Map Metadata.
- In the right-hand pane, right-click the SAS Information Map that requires metadata to be updated.
- Click Properties. Select the data types that require updated metadata.
- Choose to schedule on date set using SAS Schedule Manager using the drop-down list.
- Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
When you follow the steps above, a dialog box is returned with contents similar to the following:
Job CI\Financial Services\Information Maps.MAInformation Map Nume-Char-Hist-Date has been deployed for scheduling.
To schedule the counts metadata job in a flow in SAS Schedule Manager, follow the steps below:
- Search for the job in SAS Management Console using the name of the job that was returned in the dialog box at the end of the steps above.
- Right-click on the job returned in the search results and choose Properties.
- Edit the location field for the job and browse to the correct location for the job.
- Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
- Use the SAS Management Console Schedule Manager to incorporate the information map metadata job into a flow. This job now appears in the jobs that are available for scheduling.
