Problem Note 46973: SAS® Customer Intelligence campaigns experience poor performance or fail upon execution
SAS Customer Intelligence campaigns might perform poorly or, in certain circumstances, might fail when executed.
The performance problem occurs because a SUMMARY procedure is used in the code to obtain the treatment counts. This procedure retrieves more data than is required. Therefore, the campaigns take longer than necessary to run.
When the underlying data is hosted on a Netezza database, this behavior might provoke a failure with an error similar to the following in the SASMarketingAutomationCore5.x.log file:
WARNING: The data set DBTMPLIB.CH_CP_COUNTSxxx may be incomplete. When this step was stopped there were 0 observations and 2 variables.
ERROR: ROLLBACK issued due to errors for data set DBTMPLIB.CH_CP_COUNTSxxx.DATA.
