In some cases, multiple pooled workspace servers might be used when displaying a SAS Web Report Studio report. The multiple sessions can cause unexpected behavior if the report is based on an information map that is associated with a stored process.

For example, a stored process might contain code that creates a SAS macro variable, which is then used in an information map expression. However, macro variables reside only in the SAS session in which they are created. Therefore, when a second SAS session is spawned in order to render the other objects in the report, the macros created in the first SAS session are not available. In another example, if the stored process creates a temporary user-defined format, then that format is not available to use in objects that are rendered using a different SAS session.

Typically, multiple SAS sessions only occur when the query optimizer is turned on. As a workaround, disable the query optimizer.
