Usage Note 46854: Beginning with SAS® 9.2, the cursor behavior in SAS/AF® on UNIX hosts has changed
Prior to the release of SAS 9.2, invoking a SAS/AF application that positioned the cursor in a field allowed commands to be issued without any interaction on the frame, and focus remained on the field. In SAS 9.2 and later, commands do not execute until you select the field, and the field is not active after returning from the command.
This change in behavior is caused by the Xresource SAS.useNativeXmTextTranslations being changed from false
in 9.1.3 to true
in SAS 9.2 and later.
To override this setting, invoke SAS with the following option:
-xrm "SAS.useNativeXmTextTranslations: False"
