Installation Note 46589: A SAS® 9.3 non-planning order delivered on a 3590 might contain a truncated registry file
A SAS 9.3 software non-planning order created before June 22, 2012, might contain a truncated registry file. This might not be apparent when you first install the software. In this situation, SAS executes successfully but subsequent attempts to apply hot fixes or maintenance or to add new products fail.
For example, if you try to run the View Registry tool, you might see an error similar to the following:
< java -jar sas.tools.viewregistry.jar
Fatal Error¨ :1252:10: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.
