Problem Note 46524: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 5.1 might fail to display an application server in the stored process wizard
The SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1 stored process wizard uses both a workspace server and a stored process server metadata definition. Both server definitions are associated within the target application server context. Errors occur when both of these server definitions are not associated in metadata for the target application server.
The workspace server and stored process server must be accessible through metadata security to the user ID that is used to log on to the metadata server. If a SAS Enterprise Guide client fails to find an associated workspace server within the target application server context, an exception occurs. No application servers are made available in the stored process wizard. The exception produces the message below in step 3, "Execution Options":
No appropriate LogicalServer defined for the given ApplicationServer
To resolve this issue, open SAS® Management Console with an administrator user account. Grant Readmetadata authorization to the workspace server for the user or group that has been denied authorization.
If SAS Enterprise Guide fails to find a stored process server within an application server context, the following error is produced when you attempt to invoke the stored process wizard:
'*(LogicalServer.StoredProcess)' could not be found.
To resolve this issue, open SAS Management Console and define a logical stored process server definition. Grant Readmetadata permissions to the logical stored process server for the user or group that has been denied authorization.
