When you try to log on to SAS Social Network Analysis or SAS Financial Crimes Monitor, you might receive the following error message:

An error has occurred. If this persists please contact your system administrator.

The problem occurs if you did not complete the instructions in "SAS® 9.3 Guide to Software Updates" before applying the maintenance. The instructions include deployment of updated EAR files.

To work around the problem, redeploy the updated "sas.financialcrimesmonitor2.3.ear" and "sas.socialnetworkanalysis2.3.ear" files.

One way to determine whether the EAR files have been updated is to go to the SAS Social Network Analysis url:

Click Help ► About. If the files have been updated, then "Version: 2.3M1" is displayed.

If "2.3M1" is not displayed, then you need to undeploy the older EAR files, and deploy the current EAR files. To undeploy the "sas.financialcrimesmonitor2.3.ear" and "sas.socialnetworkanalysis2.3.ear" files, follow the directions for your Web application server.

After undeploying the older EAR files, you need to deploy the new EAR files. To deploy the EAR files, follow these steps:

1. Stop all SAS servers except for the metadata server.
2. Go to "!SASROOT\SASDeploymentManager\9.3" and run sasdm.exe.
3. Select Update Existing Configuration.
   
   
   
4. Follow the configuration steps.

The "sas.financialcrimesmonitor2.3.ear" and "sas.socialnetworkanalysis2.3.ear" files are updated.
