Usage Note 46374: An exception error occurs when you deploy sample reports in SAS® Forecast Server
When you deploy sample reports in SAS Forecast Server, the following exception occurs. This error is generated when the SAS Forecast Server Metadata User account is not added to the reports-metadata folder or when the account does not have the correct metadata permissions.
To resolve this report-deployment error, you need to grant ReadMetadata, WriteMetadata, WriteMemberMetadata, and CheckInMetadata permissions to the Forecast Server Metadata User account, as follows:
- Log on to the SAS Forecast Server plug-in by selecting Forecast Server in SAS® Management Console.
- To locate the sample-reports metadata folder so that you can deploy the sample reports, right-click your particular environment under Forecast Server and select Properties. This selection opens the Environment Properties dialog box. In this dialog box, the Reports folder text box contains the location of the sample-reports metadata folder (/FSReports).
- Click OK to close the Environment Properties dialog box.
- In SAS Management Console, navigate to the reports folder (/FSReports) that is shown in step 2, as follows:
- Click the Folders tab.
- Then right-click the reports folder (in this case, FSReports) and select Properties.
This selection opens the FSReports Properties dialog box.
- On the Authorization tab:
- Add Forecast Server Metadata User so that it appears in the Users and Groups text box.
- Select Forecast Server Metadata User so that it is highlighted, and then grant that selection ReadMetadata, WriteMetadata, WriteMemberMetadata, CheckInMetadata permissions from the Effective Permissions list, as shown below.
- Click OK to close the dialog box and return to SAS Management Console.
- Deploy the sample reports in the SAS Forecast Server plug-in by right-clicking the Environment Reports object, as shown below, and selecting Deploy Samples.
