Problem Note 46293: The Variable Selection node uses a Frequency variable even when Use=No is specified
Data Sources in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ enable you to specify a Frequency variable. Nodes in SAS Enterprise Miner enable you to specify Use=No if you do not want the node to use a particular variable. However, if you specify Use=No for a Frequency variable, the Variable Selection node incorrectly uses the Frequency variable.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.
To work around the problem, perform one of the following circumventions:
- remove the Frequency variable from the data source
- change the Role from Frequency to some other role, and also specify
Use=No
