Problem Note 45921: Overforecasting observed for some SKUs
In SAS® Promotion Optimization or SAS® Regular Price Optimization, you might notice significant overforecasting for SKUs that have sales for the first time in many weeks. The overforecasting is a result of leading zeros being ignored when smoothing the base demand in share modeling. This causes the forecasted shares to take away from other SKUs within the same share group.
There is no workaround for this issue.
