Problem Note 45903: An error occurs when you specify the BULKUNLOAD= option in a LIBNAME statement for SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza

You might receive this error when you use the APPEND procedure to add a Netezza table to an existing SAS data set:

 ERROR: Invalid data format in BULKUNLOAD stream.  Verify that the data does not contain the delimiter character.
The problem occurs under the following conditions:

  • You are using the BULKUNLOAD= option in the LIBNAME statement.
  • The Netezza table used in the BASE= option of your PROC APPEND statement has more than 100,000 records.
