Problem Note 45825: Using server-side and client-side filters on the same dashboard might produce unexpected results in SAS® BI Dashboard

SAS BI Dashboard enables you to define interactions on a dashboard where some processing occurs on the server and some processing occurs on the client. In some cases, using both types of filters together on a dashboard might display unexpected results.
When a server-side filter is triggered, the related indicators filter the data appropriately. However, if some of the related indicators are also associated with another indicator via a client-side filter, then you might see unexpected results.
Specifically, unexpected results occur under the following conditions:
- One indicator is the source for a server-side filter and another indicator is the source of a client-side filter.
- Both indicators are sources for the same target indicator.
- You make a selection from the server-side filter after the client-side filter has been modified.
Under these conditons, the server-side filter might display data that is not associated with the current value of the client-side filter. This problem occurs because the client-side filter does not get applied until you make a selection from it.
