Problem Note 45661: Load balanced SAS® OLAP Servers may abend and hang on shutdown

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In a load balanced cluster of SAS® OLAP servers, periodic abends and hangs can occur during normal shut–down. When a SAS OLAP Server is shutting down, various extensions used by the server are unloaded. These extensions include the load balancing extension. If the load balancing extenstion is unloaded while a call is currently being processed by it, this can cause the server to abend and enter a hung state. Error messages related to this problem are visible in both the SAS OLAP server log and when calling the Traceback:
